The Reiki Level I Certification Class is the first step in learning the healing art of Reiki and beginning a journey of personal growth, balance, and spiritual development. This class introduces students to the traditional Usui Reiki system while incorporating teachings from the Usui, Tibetan, and DivineYu traditions taught through the Sunstone Centre. Reiki Level I is suitable for anyone interested in learning Reiki for self-healing, relaxation, spiritual growth, or supporting the well-being of family, friends, animals, plants, and the environment. No previous experience is required. During this class, students receive their First Degree Reiki attunement, which opens and strengthens their ability to channel Reiki energy. Reiki is a gentle, natural healing energy that promotes relaxation, stress reduction, emotional balance, and overall wellness. Once attuned, students can begin practicing Reiki immediately. The course combines discussion, meditation, and hands-on practice to help students understand and experience Reiki energy in meaningful, practical ways. Students will learn the history and principles of Reiki, how Reiki energy works, and techniques for self-treatment and working with others. The class also explores chakras, grounding, protection, intuition, and energy awareness. Topics covered include: - The history and principles of Reiki - Reiki attunements and energy development - Chakras and energetic anatomy - Grounding and protection techniques - Meditation and mindfulness practices - Self-healing and Reiki treatments for others - Reiki for animals, plants, food, and water - Ethics, boundaries, and compassionate practice Many students find Reiki Level I to be a deeply transformative experience that supports greater peace, clarity, balance, and connection in everyday life. Duration: 1 day. Fees: $226 (HST is included in price) for new students of Reiki, and $113 (HST is included in price) for those with Reiki Level 1 certification from other schools.
