Animal Reiki I & II is a comprehensive two-day training designed for Reiki practitioners who wish to support the healing and well-being of animals through Reiki energy work. Open to students who have completed Reiki Level II or higher, this course combines practical techniques with a deeper understanding of the relationship between humans, animals, and energy. Students learn to provide Reiki to animals thoughtfully and confidently, while respecting their comfort, communication, and boundaries. The course explores the importance of compassion, intuition, and presence when working with animals, while also recognizing the emotional and spiritual connections shared between humans and the animal world. During the training, students receive two Animal Reiki Placements (attunements), which align and integrate the Animal Reiki energy and symbol with their existing Reiki practice. The class includes hands-on practice, guided experiences, and techniques that can be applied both in person and remotely to support animals of all kinds. Topics covered in the course include: - The history and evolution of Animal Reiki - Understanding Animal Reiki and its priorities for animals - A refresher on Usui Reiki symbols - Animal Reiki symbol integration and use - Reiki techniques for in-person and distant sessions - Session preparation and grounding practices - Whole-body awareness and energetic connection exercises - Healing Compassion Fatigue practices - Animal grief and healing meditation - Receiving and respecting an animal’s consent for Reiki - Creating safe and supportive healing environments - Developing your own Animal Reiki practice style - Common healing issues in animals, including: - stress and disharmony - grief and loneliness This course provides students with practical skills, deeper energetic awareness, and a compassionate foundation for sharing Reiki with animals in a respectful and supportive way.
